战昆仑

Original title

Battle of Kunlun is a modern legendary-themed television series set in November 1939, when Japanese forces land at Qinzhou. Garrison company commander Mo Xinlie, knocked unconscious by artillery fire, is carried from his position by his men, yet the military condemns him as a deserter and sentences him to death. Wu Shaoxiong, a Communist Party member and leader of a student corps, learns the true circumstances and immediately mobilizes the public to approach senior Nationalist general Director Bai and plead for Mo's release. To atone for his guilt, Mo Xinlie decides to form the Binyang People's Anti-Japanese Dare-to-Die Squad. With the assistance of the student corps led by Wu Shaoxiong, they go deep behind enemy lines to rescue a Nationalist pilot, wipe out an assassination squad made up of Japanese troops and bandits, and direct artillery fire that kills Japanese Major General Masao Nakamura, thereby completing his personal redemption. Inspired by Wu Shaoxiong, Mo Xinlie comes to a profound realization that, in the face of the invaders, what must be achieved is not personal redemption but the rescue of a nation and people in peril. Just as the dare-to-die squad breaks through the Japanese blockade, escapes danger, and returns to honor, the Battle of Kunlun Pass erupts, and Mo Xinlie and Wu Shaoxiong resolutely decide to coordinate with the Nationalist army in an attack from within and without to capture Kunlun Pass. In the brutal fighting, Wu Shaoxiong and his fellow student soldiers shed their blood on the battlefield, and Mo Xinlie plants the flag of victory atop Kunlun Pass.
