Original title

The Five Detectives is a special criminal investigation unit under the Jiangbei Public Security Bureau. Lu Zizheng, who holds a master's degree in criminal psychology, has just graduated from the police academy when, on his first day with the unit, he encounters a difficult case. Through his incisive psychological analysis of the suspects, he quickly identifies the real culprit, earning his new colleagues' respect for the young newcomer. As they go on to crack one case after another — the car accident involving twin sisters, the death threats against an arrogant actress performing in Jiangcheng, and the kidnapping of a seven-year-old girl on her way home from school — the members of the team gradually come to know one another and build complete trust. At that point, an inconspicuous detail brings a five-year-old unsolved case back into view, and as if by a twist of fate, all five members turn out to have a direct or indirect connection to that case. With wisdom and courage, they overcome formidable obstacles and bring the resurfaced killer to justice, proving through their actions that justice never lets the guilty escape. Solving the cold case resolves a burden carried for many years and marks the beginning of the unit's maturity, as they stand as a steadfast shield safeguarding social harmony and stability with wisdom and hard work.
