警戒线

Original title

After graduating with an MBA from a prestigious university in Shanghai, Jiang Xiaoyang leaves his hometown for Tonghai, a coastal city in the south, to work at the well-known Jinpeng Enterprise Group—for the sake of a bright future and for Li Jingwei, his beloved girlfriend of ten years. Over the course of his diligent and hardworking efforts, he uncovers the company's smuggling operations. Cheng Mengli, the Hong Kong businesswoman who chairs the company, happens to be Jiang Xiaoyang's former middle school classmate. After Jiang Xiaoyang appears on the scene, she—a woman starved of genuine affection—becomes infatuated with him and gradually loses control of the smuggling business against her own will. Bei Yong, a battle-hardened lone hero in the Tonghai Municipal Public Security Bureau, gradually exposes Tonghai's smuggling network over the course of a series of criminal cases. In the end, through the ingenious cooperation of Jiang Xiaoyang and Bei Yong—a pair of heroes, one accomplished in letters and the other in arms—the extraordinarily large smuggling syndicate in Tonghai, with its collusion between officials and businessmen, is completely destroyed. In this baptism of blood and fire, Jiang Xiaoyang also finds the true meaning of love.
