宋庆龄

Original title

Song Qingling was a major historical figure of the last century with broad global influence. In her childhood, she became acquainted with Mr. Sun Yat-sen, the great forerunner of the democratic revolution, took him as her idol, and developed the ambition to pursue revolution. After the fall of Shanghai, instead of retreating to the rear areas, she hurried to Hong Kong to establish the "China Defense League," calling on the international community and the vast numbers of patriotic overseas Chinese to donate money and goods. They raised large quantities of military and medical supplies to support the Eighth Route Army and the New Fourth Army. In particular, during the revolutionary period, she carried out numerous fundraising and disaster relief efforts, helping millions of workers, disaster victims, refugees, and orphans, and was widely praised with the saying, "In heaven there is Guanyin; on earth there is Song Qingling."
