Original title

After graduating from college, Zhen Jie became a department manager at a livestreaming company and started dating surgeon Yang Zixuan, enjoying both a thriving career and a sweet romance. Just as she and her boyfriend were discussing marriage, a woman named Zhang Jinping suddenly showed up claiming to be her kin. It turned out that, in her youth, Zhang Jinping had fallen in love with her college classmate Guan Wenshan, became pregnant before marriage, and gave birth to a daughter whom she was forced to give up for adoption. Now suffering from pulmonary heart disease, Zhang Jinping needs a lung donation from her daughter to stay alive. Confronted with a birth mother who appeared out of nowhere, Zhen Jie is thrown into a dilemma. Her adoptive parents, Zhen Yulong and Huang Ying, who have always treated Zhen Jie as their own and doted on her, firmly oppose her donating a lung to a birth mother who never fulfilled her maternal duties. When Yang Zixuan's mother, Sun Huaiyuan, learns that Zhen Jie intends to donate a lung to her birth mother, she pressures her son hard to break up with Zhen Jie. Meanwhile, Zhang Jinping's own family is in turmoil. Her husband, Lu Guang'an, learns that his wife of more than twenty years had an illegitimate daughter before their marriage, and he is devastated and seeks a divorce from Zhang Jinping. Zhen Jie overcomes obstacle after obstacle, carefully managing relationships and patiently persuading and communicating with everyone, and finally wins the support of her adoptive parents and Yang Zixuan to donate a lung to her birth mother, only for doctors to discover upon examination that her lung capacity is insufficient for the donation. As her birth mother's condition worsens and she faints again and again, Zhen Jie launches an Ironman Plan to increase her lung capacity, racing against death itself.
