裸嫁时代

Original title

Chen Yuan and Su Xiaotang, drifting in Yancheng, were preparing to get married. They had no home and no savings—only hope for the future and two hearts in love. Defying both sets of parents, they held their wedding on the train back to Yancheng from their hometown. There was no wedding dress, no rings, no guests, yet they were incomparably happy. The two struggled to build a happy home, but were gradually warped by the outside world's material desires, frantically wanting to buy a house and make money. Struggling, buying a house, starting a business, failing, then selling the house, getting pregnant, having a child, raising the child, facing both sets of parents—layer upon layer of problems left Chen Yuan and Su Xiaotang utterly exhausted, and in the end their marriage reached its end. Su Xiaotang returned to her hometown with her parents, where a former classmate, Chai Wanjin, was willing to start a family with her anew. At Chen Yuan's side was also a girl, Xiao Baiyang, who had always been infatuated with him. Yet Chen Yuan and Su Xiaotang discovered that they had always loved each other deeply; it was only because they pursued too many things that they had neglected the true love in their hearts. Chen Yuan and Su Xiaotang remarried. They had also truly grown up, no longer pursuing material happiness but building a sense of happiness within their hearts.
