Воскресенский

Original title

Saint Petersburg, 1912. The progress of the new century is advancing, yet human nature does not change along with it—people still take one another's lives, sometimes in the most horrifying and improbable ways. Each time the capital's police, with all their modern equipment (for fingerprinting and much else is now available), are unable to solve yet another gruesome murder, they call in the luminary of surgery, the forty-year-old professor of medicine Voskresensky.
