圆圆的故事

Original title

In the course of getting along with her neighbors and resolving one trivial matter after another, Yuanyuan gradually comes to understand the profound meaning of the saying that nothing concerning the common people is a small matter, and she cherishes the life before her all the more. The Story of Yuanyuan continues the character threads from I Love My Family from 16 years earlier, while also innovatively drawing on American television production techniques and incorporating more stylish, humorous and youthful elements, making the plot of The Story of Yuanyuan all the more entertaining! Compared with 16 years ago, however, every character in the series has undergone considerable changes: her mother Heping has become a famous dagu performer, and her father Jia Zhiguo has been promoted to deputy bureau chief; the two now live in a "town house" in the suburbs. Auntie Xiao Zhang, played by Shen Chang, has opened a cha chaan teng in Xingfuli Community, and Uncle Jia Zhixin, who still leads a feckless life, has been made general manager of the cha chaan teng under Auntie Xiao Zhang's patronage. The newly added characters are also full of drama: Director Dong of the community, played by Ju Hao, considers himself an authority and insists on sticking his nose into everything in his southern-accented Mandarin. Guo Xu, played by Jiang Chao, embarks on a tender first romance with Yuanyuan, rather in the vein of Beijing Bicycle, and Jiang Chao jokes that he has finally fulfilled his dream of appearing in an idol drama. Li Dalei, played by Wang Lei, does security and fire-safety work in the community and is also Guo Xu's romantic rival, and the two engage in a battle for Yuanyuan's affections. In addition, appearances by stars such as Guo Da, Zhang Yishan, Jin Yaqin, Li Qi, Hei Mei, Mao Hai, Yin Xiangjie, Cai Guoqing and Liu Xuan make the series all the more worth watching! "Xingfuli Community" has thus become a veritable "community of big names."
