In النورس, a psychiatric doctor, Dr. Marwa Hamzawi, is summoned by the prosecution to testify about the death of Maha, a patient she had been treating for severe depression. Maha's condition stemmed from her parents' divorce and a life split between the two of them. Dr. Marwa's account leads the prosecution to conclude that Maha took her own life rather than being killed. Yet once the investigation is closed, a surprise emerges that changes the course of events.
