无盐女

Original title

Xu Wenxiu (played by Qiu Xinzhi) was born into a family celebrated for brocade weaving. At his parents' behest, he married Tian Jufang (played by Pan Yijun) as his wife. Xu Wenxiu is sensitive and strives for perfection in everything, yet he long could not get past the burn scar on Tian Jufang's face. With the passage of time, the gentleness and kindness Tian Jufang displayed gradually drew Xu Wenxiu to her, leading him to set aside his prejudice about her appearance and truly fall in love with her. Xu Wenxiu had once shared a romantic past with Jin Rulan (played by He Miao), a renowned performer from Jiangnan. By a twist of fate, Jin Rulan also married into the Xu family, only to be despised by her mother-in-law (played by Pan Hong) because of her background as an actress. Headstrong and proud, Jin Rulan could not abide Tian Jufang's presence and schemed to have her driven away. At the same time, Liang Bingwen (played by Shen Xiaohai) is deeply in love with Tian Jufang, and he and the Xu family share a deep, unforgotten enmity.
