青莲花

Original title

The plot unfolds along two narrative threads: the main line follows Ye Wanqing (played by Ma Zhiqin), who conceives her daughter Xu Tingting through artificial insemination. To evade the hospital's follow-up, she goes into hiding, which ultimately leads Tingting to fall in love with and marry her half-brother Huang Anbang, resulting in the birth of a deformed child. The secondary thread depicts Gao Wanling's obsessive love for Huang Anbang; after taking advantage of his drunken state to have sex with him, she becomes an unmarried mother. The series ends on a somewhat tragic open note, prompting reflection on ethics and family bonds.
