死刑囚の妹

Detective Sakakibara (Watase) is asked by Setoguchi (Sugimoto), a death-row inmate he once arrested, to arrange a meeting with his sister Yayoi (Hosokawa). At the time of the incident, Setoguchi, who lived in Yamanashi Prefecture with Yayoi, their mother Tokie (Kayama), and his stepfather Takao, an elementary school teacher, stabbed Takao to death after an argument—and killed a detective while being arrested. After the incident, the family left their hometown; Tokie is now hospitalized in Kawasaki. Yayoi, who was put up for adoption, worked at a credit union. But Yayoi, who is dating a colleague while hiding her past, refuses to meet him. Meanwhile, a man named Ando, an extortionist, is found dead under suspicious circumstances.
