Connected is an Israeli docu-reality series in which five or six participants film their own daily lives, without camera crews. Each receives a video camera and instructions on recording and narrating their routine; over time they become their own cameramen and directors, shaping personal stories from the footage. The men-only seasons were called Mechubarim, the women-only seasons Mechubarot, and later seasons Mechubarim+, which brought men and women together. From thousands of hours of raw material, the creators and director assembled 35 episodes of 22 minutes each. The format was later sold to production companies and broadcasters in roughly 17 countries.
