A Ballad of Love

Running to the museum lobby, believing it is the man who fascinated her but, instead, finding the other for whom she feels less than indifference, is not the best blow that life deals to arrogant women? But in any case, let's not expect to have the context - in generally avant-garde terms - of an indiscriminate abuse of pride in the sculptor Galika Galya - discarding suitors that Veroschka suggests to her, such as Mytia - until the complex warp of emotional needs - or psychologically inert - a stimulus of attraction for Andrei arises in her, when she accidentally bumps into him on the street, and probably her interest in Andrei is, although she could not swear it, for the non-intuitive reason that he does not show too much liking or interest towards her, except for a suspicious curiosity when asking where she works or what she does. The play is acted very effectively but there are complete sequences that suffer either from very poor direction, because many gestures and the dynamism of the scene in question are not evident in the frame, or from poor editing that cuts out essential sections (the which could be rested) and instead preserved others that generate confusion, at least with the intelligibility of the script. Simply the scene that closes the film is a clear example and I do not mean that only the happy gestures of ANdrei are used (who has already lost some interest for Galya when she learns about her son's afternoon of playing in the snow and therefore knows that He is married and has a family) in contrast to Galya's laughter that turns into crying. Another scene like this is that of Gosha, and I am not referring to seeing the young boy enter the hole of ice water, if I am not mistaken it is almost obvious that he does it to emulate Mytia given that he secretly loves Galya, but to the reunion in the workshop and the affirmation to Galya's trick question: what should I do, wait for you? "Wait for me," Gosha tells him. But this happens after announcing that he will marry Mytia. Is it about shaping the sculptor's contradiction, a contradiction that all human beings are at some point in their lives?
